Tim Wedd

Executive Director

Tim is widely recognised within the Australian financial services industry as a leading technical specialist, financial educator and financial planning strategist. Prior to establishing Crystal Wealth Partners, Tim led the specialist technical education and consultancy practice, Financial Essentials, for over a decade before the company was acquired by Fairfax Media in 2008.

Tim has over 35 years ‘hands-on’ experience in specialist SMSF, technical, consulting and financial planning roles for major organisations including MLC, AXA, AMP, Colonial/CBA, ING/ANZ and HSBC.

Additionally, Tim is a former Director of the specialist SMSF and investment administration business Multiport and a former Director and Chairman of the Australian Retirement Income Streams Association (ARISA). As a member of the FSC Superannuation Working Group, Tim has been actively involved in industry policy work and technical representation to Government.

His extensive FSI experience has fuelled Tim’s passion for retirement planning and building robust investment portfolios that deliver to his clients’ stated objectives. Tim is committed to helping clients achieve their retirement goals within a constantly changing environment.

Tim is married with three children, all of whom engage in a range of sporting activities encompassing football, cricket, gymnastics, athletics and equestrian. When he does get some time to himself, Tim explores his more reserved personal interests of golf, music, travel, good food & wine.
